Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Inspect tank welds, spatters, seams, fittings, skids, heads that all are within IOME guidelines. Assure fittings are all square with each other and tank surfaces. If defects are found, return tank to production to correct prior to painting. Paint tanks, parts, and non-tank related items, according to supplied specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statements Quality Control #1:
  • Inspect tanks for welds, spatters, seams, fittings, skids, heads that all are within IOME guidelines.
  • Assure fittings are all square with each other and tank surfaces.
  • Return defects to production to correct prior to painting.
Paint:
  • Apply paint according to specifications.
  • Apply good even coverage over entire surface with no runs.
Quality Control #2:
  • Re-Inspect tanks to meet all design requirements, ensure paint is within IOME standards <5% of tank surface shows no runs, with none above the top half of tank heads or sidewalls.
  • Apply appropriate decals per IOME requirements and UL Standards.
General Functions:
  • Obtain and use appropriate forklift training per company policies.
  • File reports and paperwork as (Timecards, daily job cards, build sheets, drawings, unapplied time sheets and any other paperwork as requested.)
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area/environment appropriate to work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety training provided by IOME.
  • Work within and obey policies and procedures of IOME.
  • Perform other duties as If such duties require specialized training, such training and/or close assistance, supervision will be provided.
