Position Overview: Paint Pro Sales Specialists provide the highest level of customer service support to customers where substantial product knowledge and advanced selling skills are critical to success. Paint Pro Sales Specialists assist customers, assess customer needs and guide customer decisions. Specialists are often certified or licensed trades-persons with expert level product, procedural and design knowledge in Paint. Associates in this position have significant Paint home improvement project experience and use both experience and knowledge to build customer relationships and drive sales. Specialists must be able to communicate well with others and anticipate customer’s needs regarding products and services Key Responsibilities: Actionable Deliverable Spend minimum 25% of time pursuing new Pro Paint business, by spending time in the department, actively prospecting customers already shopping in the department. Develop one-on-one relationships with Pro customers shopping in the Paint department, providing a familiar face to the customers day in and day out. Maintain knowledge of marketplace dynamics including new suppliers and products and informing our Pros of changes. Provide quotes and track accounts to reflect current Pro Account records. Maintain an organized, up-to-date system for profiling and tracking top Pro paint accounts as well as for developing new ones. Keeps work area clean and organized. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of merchandise and commercial loyalty programs Meet and exceed personal goals (e.g. Sales, quotes, credit accounts) set by Supervisor as well as the goals of the team. Create action plan with Supervisor to develop selling skills in the Paint department. Obtain advanced knowledge of Paints merchandise & advise Pros of features and benefits to make appropriate recommendations. Answer occasional questions from other store customers. Ensures Customer Satisfaction Strives to meet sales driving goals (e.g., sales, pro-xtra sign ups, credit accounts) set by Supervisor. Creates action plan with Supervisor to develop selling skills. Creates customer quotes and processes fax, phone and counter orders quickly and accurately. Communicates order information to Pullers and Delivery Will Call Coordinators accurately so that the customer’s expectations are met and the best possible service is maintained. Follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and pursue future business. Partner with Store Management to resolve outstanding issues.
