Merit Professional Coating Holdings is a leading commercial painting, wallcovering,
waterproofing, and specialty coatings contractor serving Florida and the Southeast. We

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial
painting and wallcovering projects from award through closeout while ensuring projects
are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and at targeted profit margins.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned
projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, billing, subcontractor coordination,
manpower planning, client communication, and project closeout.
The successful candidate will work closely with estimating, field operations, accounting,
and executive leadership to ensure successful project execution and outstanding
customer service.


Primary Responsibilities
Project Management
๏‚ท Manage multiple commercial painting and wallcovering projects simultaneously.
๏‚ท Lead projects from turnover through final completion.
๏‚ท Conduct project kickoff meetings with field personnel.
๏‚ท Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
๏‚ท Coordinate manpower and project schedules.
๏‚ท Monitor daily project progress and resolve field issues.
๏‚ท Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.


Financial Management

๏‚ท Manage project budgets and maintain targeted gross profit margins.
๏‚ท Review project costs and labor productivity.
๏‚ท Forecast cost to complete/ Prepare and review monthly billings.
๏‚ท Track and manage change orders.
๏‚ท Assist with collections by maintaining strong client communication.
๏‚ท Review subcontractor and vendor invoices.
๏‚ท Monitor project profitability throughout the life of the project.


Operations


๏‚ท Coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen regarding manpower and
production.
๏‚ท Schedule materials and equipment deliveries.
๏‚ท Conduct routine job-site visits/ Monitor quality and production.
๏‚ท Ensure punch list items are completed promptly.
๏‚ท Assist in project closeout and warranty activities.
Customer Relations
๏‚ท Maintain positive relationships with General Contractors, Owners, Architects, and Consultants.
๏‚ท Attend project meetings as required.
๏‚ท Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
๏‚ท Identify opportunities for additional work and negotiated projects.
๏‚ท Professionally represent Merit Professional Coating Holdings at all times.
Safety & Quality
๏‚ท Promote company safety policies and OSHA compliance.
๏‚ท Participate in jobsite safety reviews.
๏‚ท Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
๏‚ท Support quality control initiatives and timely completion of corrective work.


Qualifications

๏‚ท 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial painting,
wallcovering, specialty finishes, and drywall.
๏‚ท Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects.
๏‚ท Strong understanding of budgets, scheduling, billing, change orders, and project financials.
๏‚ท Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
๏‚ท Excellent communication and organizational skills.
๏‚ท Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, On-Screen,
Togal.AI, Procore, Knowify, or similar construction software.
๏‚ท Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Tampa Bay area.

๏‚ท Base Salary: $75,000, based on experience.
