Summary: The Painter is responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential homes. The Painter assists in making residential homes move-in ready and creating the best possible experience within our residential communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing painting of all interior and exterior facets of the construction scope of work.
  • Masking and covering as required to protect adjacent surfaces.
  • Preparing all existing drywall to receive paint.
  • Ability to perform minor drywall patching/mudding/sanding to prepare for paint.
  • Mixing, carrying, and applying paint to walls, ceilings, cabinetry and trim.
  • Cleaning, protecting, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Erecting ladders and scaffolding
  • Supporting multiple residential sites within military installations.
  • Coordinating with other trades.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times.
  • Maintaining routine maintenance on scope specific equipment
  • Adhering to PPE requirements at all times.
  • Ability to work from heights with an understanding of safety requirements for that work.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year in the painting trade.
  • Knowledge of Paints urethanes, epoxies, and enamels along with an understanding of the hazardous materials within.
  • Punchlist experience.
  • Completion of OSHA 10 or 30, or ability to complete.
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment such as paint sprayers, brushes, and rollers.

Work Conditions:

This is a fully on-site role at the project location(s). Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
