Test Equipment Engineering is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test.  We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.  Typical work involves designing test interfaces, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products.

These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems.  The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio

  • Troubleshoot and debug software to ensure functionality and reliability

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and implement solutions

  • Work within established software development lifecycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Develop and derive requirements for software applications and systems

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start

  • Experience with software development, testing, or integration using C, C++, Python, or Visual Basic

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Visual Studio

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Basic understanding of software development principles and object-oriented design

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
