Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PreOp PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Orange Park, FL. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities

  • Assess and prepare patients for surgery in the Pre-Operative area.
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU, ensuring stable vital signs and managing pain effectively.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with ASC policies.
  • Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery expectations.
  • Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform Crash Cart and environmental check offs.
  • Complete PAT calls and coordinate patient schedule.
  • Organize medication room and verify adequate medications are available for cases.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida.
  • Experience in Pre-Operative and PACU nursing preferred.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Expert IV starting skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
