Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packing / Shipping Associate for a manufacturing client located in Monee, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient packing, labeling, and shipping of products to meet customer expectations and delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience in warehouse operations, and familiarity with shipping procedures. This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution processes and supporting overall order fulfillment.


2nd shift: 12:00pm-10:30pm Mon-Thurs
$18 per hour


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments
  • Ensure all items are packaged and shipped per company and customer standards
  • Label shipments accurately and set up carriers for daily pickups
  • Accurately pull material - package, label, and weigh items to be shipped
  • Work with team members to ensure all invoices are handled promptly
  • Perform quality checks, cycle counts, and work with quality department on non-conforming material
  • Cross-train and perform other related duties as assigned by management


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, logistics, or other related fields
  • Previous sit-down forklift experience
  • Experience using MS Office and working with WMS softwares
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and work independently under minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and math skills, problem solving abilities
