About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and logistics activities at our facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating domestic and international shipments, and leading a small warehouse team.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in manufacturing and cross-border logistics environments. They will play a critical role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Customer Shipments

  • Coordinate and execute all outbound customer shipments, ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Manage shipment bookings, transportation arrangements, and logistics documentation.
  • Monitor and support On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance by ensuring customer commitments and shipping deadlines are met.
  • Communicate directly with customers to obtain or clarify shipping, import, customs, and delivery requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain export documentation, including:
    • Commercial Invoices
    • Packing Lists
    • Certificates of Origin (CUSMA)
    • Dangerous Goods (DG) documentation
    • Other compliance-related shipping documents as required
  • Support post-import activities, including duty disputes, shipment returns, and customs-related issues.

Inbound Logistics & Receiving

  • Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to coordinate inbound shipments and material deliveries.
  • Ensure timely receipt and accurate system transactions for all incoming inventory.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners to optimize service levels and transportation costs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers to improve logistics performance and support business growth.

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material handling, kitting, staging, and shipping.
  • Execute and oversee cycle count programs to maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and warehouse areas are well organized, maintained, and operated efficiently.
  • Promote and enforce warehouse safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, material flow, and operational efficiency.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and support warehouse personnel to achieve performance, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Assign daily priorities and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams to support business goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory, team lead, or people leadership experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, including export compliance documentation.
  • Experience preparing shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Dangerous Goods documentation.
  • Working knowledge of customs regulations and cross-border logistics requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, brokers, and transportation carriers.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management processes.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS certification (CLTD, CSCP, or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and warehouse process optimization.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and logistics performance metrics.
