Yen Bros., Food Service (2011) Ltd., is one of the progressive food service distributors has a history of more than 4 decades in business. It's a family owned and serving customers six days a week across Vancouver and the lower mainland, from Abbotsford to Vancouver Island, to Whistler and the Sunshine Coast.

To provide efficient and courteous delivery and pickup of our products to customers across Vancouver area keeping business expansion we are looking Production Workers- Food Processing -Full time/Part-time to serve our customers.
Shift Hours: 1.00 PM to 9.30 PM & 2.00 PM to 10.30 PM
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Machines to process green produce items for slicing, dicing, cutting, trimming and peeling
  • Wash and clean the products and making ready for processing
  • Check and weight the finished products
  • Packing and arranging products after production in accordance to customer orders
  • Arranging pallets and skids to assist the order picker to move the finished products to coolers
  • Follow the order requirement in coordination with supervisor accordingly arrange the raw materials product wise to ensure hourly production targets are met
  • Sort and arrange customer orders and apply the product label correctly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor and order pickers
  • Physically fit to perform heavy to moderate heavy repetitive work and able to stand average of 8 hours constantly
  • Make sure that you follow ALL company procedures that are in place
  • Follow the safety policy guidelines at work all the time
  • Perform basic housekeeping in assigned area of production on regular basis
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 19 years
  • A high standard of personal cleanliness and hygiene
  • Excellent hand-eye- coordination and ability to maintain focus while carrying out repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work as part of team
  • Safety conscious
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 1-2 years of prior work experience (Food Processing /Warehouse experience will be preferred)
  • The ability to lift/unload from 20 Lbs. to 80 Lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Good attendance Record
  • Energetic and carry a positive work ethic
  • Able to Speak, read and comprehend English- Chinese Language will be an Asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
  • High level of Integrity and carry excellent work ethic

Working conditions:

  • Week shift schedule of 5 or 6 days a week
  • Overtime as required
  • Exposure to wet/cold warehouse conditions
  • Exposure to mobile equipment traffic and noise conditions
  • Physically demanding- required long period of standing and walking
  • Required to do heavy to moderate lifting on constant basis
