Job description

Job Title: Production General Labor

Job Summary:

The production worker position performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and as safe as possible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

These positions could include various positions within the department such as in the following areas:

  • Assisting with breaking down boxes that are being removed from the Cheese, stacking cheese in combo tote up to 40 lbs., Clean and scrap floor of dropped product
  • Palatizing which consists of counting the quantities produced and communicate to machine operator
  • Packer which consists of packing products coming off the line and inspecting prior to packing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Hours & Classification:

Production schedules are as follows:

  • 1st shift: 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • 2nd shift: 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Requirements:

  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop variously for extended periods of time,
  • Use of manual and electric pallet jack
  • Shrink wrap product on each pallet
  • Use of broom and shovel to pick up garbage on floor
  • Use of box knife
  • Able to stack boxes on pallet according to customer specs
