Warehouse Associate โ€“ Order Selector

Job Description

The warehouse associate is responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as boxes or pallets as well as shipping trucks.
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Process paperwork necessary for order completion.
  • Verify computations against physical count of stock โ€“ Cycle Counting.
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
  • Operate machinery in order to complete tasks.
  • Utilize RF equipment when fulfilling orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify and report any concerns.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in distribution.
  • Knowledge of operating a motorized pallet jack.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. individually and up to 160 lbs. with a team lift in a physical environment.
  • Ability to make repetitive movements, including but not limited to bending and squatting.

Work Environment

  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
  • Comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
