JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop with a primary focus on inventory control and deliveries while supporting job sites and meeting operational goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years' experience in the commercial HVAC and plumbing industry or construction industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels of plumbing fixtures, HVAC Units, tools and related materials.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to track usage and stock levels.
  • Supervise shop staff and drivers, assign tasks, and provide training on equipment and inventory systems.
  • Responsible for tracking and ensuring accuracy of incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Ensures outgoing shipments of inventory are accurate and sent to the correct job site or company location.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in proper working order (identify and document deficiencies) and coordinate the checkout and distribution to field personnel. Inspect lifts to ensure they are operable. Identify and document deficiencies in tools, lifts, and vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
  • Oversee compliance of shop safety rules (lockout tagout, etc.), quality of fabrication and warehouse pick, and production schedule to ensure the shop meets standards and keeps up with construction demand.
  • Oversee the tracking and moving of inventory in the shop, and preventive maintenance of machines used by shop personnel.
  • Process and route all paperwork including time sheets, packing slips, invoices, memorandums, expense sheets, emails, etc. accurately and timely.
  • Assists with the budget and cost analysis related to inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • This position is required to drive.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
