As our innovative business continues to rapidly grow, we are seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative at our Richmond location to improve Intercity Packers' market position and achieve financial growth by defining long-term strategic goals. Working with the sales staff, the Sales Representative will provide Relief Coverage when there is an absence (Vacation/Sick etc). There will be other opportunities for growth by supporting other key functions within the business. Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Between $70,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience (paid on weekly basis!)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop coverage plans and action items with other Sales Representatives to ensure attainment of company sales goals and objectives.
  • Prospect new business opportunities during time in the trade to help support strategic growth and penetrate new markets.
  • Build relationships with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention and represent the best interests of Intercity Packers in all internal and external dealings.
  • Maintain contact with all Sales Representatives to ensure core understanding of market trends and customer initiatives.
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of the fresh-cut meat and seafood production industry within the BC Market.
  • Travel may be required as needed for coverage.
  • Perform any other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven Sales Experience.
  • Protein industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline preferred, or other sales-related experience.
  • Valid driver's license, consistent access to a vehicle, and ability to travel as part of the job function .
  • Strategic thinking, relentless attitude, and commitment to sales activity.
  • Leadership and Management Skills and ambition to grow to a management position
  • Analytical skills to build various business development action plans and growth strategies.
  • Thorough knowledge and ongoing awareness of current sales and business development concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Hangout, Slides) and MicrosoftOffice (Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
