Job description

Job Summary:
The Material Handler supports the Link- Seal production and assembly teams by safely and efficiently moving, staging, and tracking materials throughout the facility. This role ensures accurate material flow to support production schedules and on - time delivery.
Essential Functions:
  • Move, stage, load, and unload raw materials and semi-finished goods for LinkSeal production and assembly operations.
  • Accurately document materials, quantities, and locations in the system.
  • Operate forklifts (stand-up, sit-down), pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain equipment by completing pre-use inspections and basic operator repairs.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
  • Mark, label, and store inventory properly to support quick and accurate retrieval.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including palletizing and wrapping products.
  • Follow established processes to prevent packing or labeling errors.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned to support Link Seal operations.
  • Perform cycle counts on inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and maintain inventory control.
  • Receive, inspect, and store production materials from the receiving area in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and maintain 5S standards within the production environment.
  • Participate in cross-training and support multiple operational areas to ensure workflow flexibility and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience operating material-handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and follow written instructions and basic math skill operations.
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills; ability to use bar-coding systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift material up to 25 pounds as needed.
