Job description

Tier One Supplier to Hyundai and KIA.

Schedule: 430p - 1am Monday - Friday. supervisors come in 20-30 minutes early to prepare for the shift & stay after the shift to send reports etc.

SUMMARY: Directs the activities of warehouse personnel involved in the receiving of various products into the facility, movements of product within the facility, and the picking and loading of product shipping out of the facility; ensures that all policies and procedures are followed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises all shipping, receiving, and packing activities performed by plant staff.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area
  • Provides proper coordination of all activities of the flow of material both in and out of the facility in accordance with all safety, process, and procedures established to operate this facility.
  • Review and submit daily production report on time.
  • Report to management relevant activities happening during the shift.
    • Maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
    • Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes all orders to be picked and/or shipping during shift.
    • Report equipment maintenance in breakdown situations.
      • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
    • Ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by crew.
    • Assists with inventory activities.
    • Oversees the sanitation activities performed in the warehouse.
    • Responsible for learning company work instructions and procedures involving packing/shipping operations, health/safety, and C-TPAT.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Assistant Production Control Manager and/Production Control Manager/Supervisor.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises warehouse staff (Fork Lift Drivers/Line Operators)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A HAIR DRUG SCREEN
  • Two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience needed.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with some experience in MfgPro.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Fork Lift experience is required with proof of current certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Calculate figures and amounts.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Understand and respond to a diverse population.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures can be hot or cold and noise level can be moderate to high.
