Kitting Technician

Total Site Solutions (TSS), Georgetown, TX., seeks a highly motivated and dynamic Kitting Technician. In this role, the technician will prepare kits of components and materials needed for production or assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. About Us:

Responsibilities

  • Kit Preparation: Gather and organize components, parts, and materials required for production orders or assembly projects according to provided specifications and instructions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of kit components and materials. Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Inspect components and materials for quality and accuracy before including them in kits. Ensure that all items meet established standards and specifications.
  • Kit Assembly: Assemble kits by packaging components and materials in containers or packages, labeling them appropriately, and preparing them for distribution to production areas or assembly stations.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain documentation related to kit preparation, including inventory logs, packing lists, and work orders. Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with production planners, warehouse staff, and other team members to prioritize kit preparation activities and meet production schedules. Communicate effectively to ensure the timely delivery of kits to the appropriate locations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve kit preparation processes. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and storing components and materials. Follow proper procedures for the safe operation of equipment and tools used in kit preparation.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, kit preparation, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
