Job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced automotive manufacturing and distribution team. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely delivery of automotive parts and components. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, warehouse experience, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming automotive parts, materials, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and scheduling freight carriers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure on-time shipments.
  • Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, Receiving Clerk, Warehouse Associate, or Logistics Coordinator.
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing or parts distribution environment is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems, barcode scanning, and shipping software.
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
