Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Vegetable Packing Specialist to oversee the sorting, grading, and packaging of fresh produce for distribution. This role is vital to ensuring that only high-quality, safe products reach our customers. The successful candidate will inspect items for freshness and defects, manage inventory of packing materials, and operate essential machinery while strictly adhering to hygiene and safety standards. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
 

Responsibilities
 
  • Inspection and Grading: Conduct thorough visual inspections of vegetables to verify type, size, quality, and freshness, removing any items that are damaged or defective.
     
  • Packaging Operations: Efficiently sort and place approved produce into designated containers, such as boxes, crates, or bags, ensuring secure packaging suitable for transport.
     
  • Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor the packing process to uphold quality standards, promptly reporting any discrepancies or defects, and maintaining precise documentation of findings.
     
  • Labeling and Coding: Accurately apply company-specific labels, barcodes, and expiration dates to all packaged goods in compliance with specifications.
     
  • Machinery Maintenance: Operate and perform basic maintenance on conveyor belts, automated packing systems, and related equipment, ensuring all machinery remains clean and sanitary.
     
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and track the usage of packing supplies, including boxes, tape, and labels, while verifying the quality and quantity of incoming produce and materials.
