Position Summary

The Inspector Packer is responsible for supporting end-product quality and the packaging process within the Specialty Vial department. This role performs visual and dimensional in-process inspections, packs finished ware, and completes palletizing and finishing activities to ensure products meet quality and customer specifications and procedural compliance.
The Inspector Packer serves as direct support to the Shift Quality Technician(s) and Shift Supervisor to ensure part quality and procedural adherence. The role requires clear and consistent communication with Shift Quality Technician(s), Shift Supervisor, and Machine Operators. This position is integral to maintaining departmental quality, productivity, and operational success.
All work is to be completed in a professional manner consistent with the Mission amp; Vision Statement/Core Values and company policies.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Perform in-process inspections for both visual and dimensional acceptance.
  • Complete required in-process inspection documentation accurately.
  • Inspect machined parts and components using precision measuring tools.
  • Identify and communicate product non-conformities and machine-related problems or flaws.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data collection and documentation.
  • Pack ware in trays according to specifications.
  • Wrap trays using sealer and heat tunnel equipment as required.
  • Label trays of packed ware accurately.
  • Inspect trays, labels, and final wrap for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain production pace, visually inspecting and packing approximately 1,200 vials per day.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support other packers and assist with production counts as required or requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills amp; AbilitiesEducation
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience accepted in lieu of education

Experience
  • Successful employment in positions requiring strong visual attention to detail during repetitive physical activity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Production or manufacturing experience preferred.

Language Skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
