Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Sales Order Packer carefully identifies and labels items prior to packingย materials received from other departments. The Sales Order Packer also works with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time.ย 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Carefully identifying and Labeling items prior to packaging of materials received from other departments.
  • Working with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time.
  • Preparing accurate orders for outbound shipments
  • Using a computer program (Wynsoft) to stage product to a container
  • May be required to use material handling equipment (Forklift); following all safety rules
  • Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience operating forklift equipment a plus
  • Experience with inventory a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Good computer skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and write English and use basic math
  • Good organization skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Team Oriented
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

ADA Requirements:

  • Medium work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Visual Acuity:

  • The worker is required to: have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is required to: have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
  • The worker is required to: have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

Job Conditions:

  • The worker is subject to: inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
