Job description

What you will do:
The Whey Packaging Tech Operator will be responsible for ensuring that the steps for producing a product that meets TCCA's high standard of quality are taken and notifying the shift supervisor when issues arise that would jeopardize that quality. The WheyPackaging Tech is responsible for the understanding and operation of the whey bagging equipment.
Here's a day in the life:
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain powder storage bins, powder transfer lines and hoppers, bulk bagging equipment, metal detection equipment, ink jets, palletizer and stretch wrapping equipment.
  • Collect samples of prod uct for performance analysis.
  • Must comply with GMP, HACCP, Safety rules and other company operating requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize systems while following Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the bagging system.
  • Troubleshoot and solve any processing problems during operation.
  • Ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain the bagging areas in a safe, sanitary, and efficient working order.

Skills you'll need:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Experience Required:
  • 0-3 years' experience in the food industry preferred. Whey Plant experience desired

OTHER:
  • Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word. Knowledge of ERP systems i.e. NAV is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors. Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company. Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
