Job Description

Summary: Responsibilities will include developing audit plans for our products and processes based on current internal procedures, checking for compliance with industry regulations, and evaluating production practices. May also need to train employees in established quality standards and create a QMS level course in our training system including knowledge verification Quiz to evaluate understanding.

To be successful as a quality auditor, candidates should have a deep understanding of product standards and significant experience in a similar role. An exceptional quality auditor will have the ability to improve the quality of products through their assessment skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under minimal supervision, candidate must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing AS 9100 audit plans.
  • Executing audits per AS 9100 audit plans.
  • Setting standards for product conformity based on drawings, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluating production processes and checking for quality in appearance, composition, and functionality.
  • Assigning team members to conduct quality audits and overseeing their work.
  • Training employees on quality standards and procedures.
  • Ensuring that products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Recording findings, helping with effective corrective actions and verification of the implementation of Corrective actions.
  • Creating and presenting quality audit reports to senior management.
  • Keeping up to date with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, quality management or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of experience as a quality auditor in AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and/or ISO 14001 and in a related industry.
  • Must have successfully completed the training of an auditor for AS 9100 from one of the AS 9100 regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Completion of post-secondary coursework related to the Aerospace Industry preferred.
  • Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Annual Target Salary = $95,000.00
