Overview

Lead and coordinate engineering projects for Amcor Flexibles North America involving mechanical and electrical components, safety leadership, procurement, cost coordination and project scheduling.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a safety leader—comply with safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures; support safety programs and encourage employee participation.
  • Determine customer needs by identifying problems and safety concerns.
  • Develop and evaluate alternate solutions to define project scope.
  • Coordinate, prepare and/or assemble the engineering package/project documentation for each assigned project.
  • Provide purchasing services for project materials—review vendors, contact vendors, coordinate with Purchasing, issue purchase orders, negotiate pricing, and expedite delivery.
  • Coordinate project costs and scheduling, and supply pertinent communication for projects with varying scope and responsibilities.
  • Determine required materials, issue purchase requisitions, and expedite delivery when necessary.
  • Interface with people, departments, and/or companies to ensure equipment is safe, on schedule, and to specification.
  • Assist with installation, checkout, start‑up, and training as necessary.
  • Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for plant issues that cannot be resolved by maintenance.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement projects and lead teams as requested.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (BSEE, BSME, BSET, BEMT) with 3–6 years of experience.

  • Understanding of business processes and process improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time to support plants.
  • Ability to support onsite 24‑hour on‑call schedule during project go‑lives.
