Job description

Where most people see a stocked grocery shelf, you see contracts, negotiations, RFPs, spreadsheets, delays, roadmaps, and more. You can’t help it—you’re wired to think this way! Because when it comes to all things PROcurement, you’re a seasoned PRO. You gather supplies with a meticulous eye for mitigating supply risk and intentional care for building and managing supplier relationships. It’s like you always say, “toGATHER is better!” (Bonus points if that cheesy pun made you chuckle…)

If this sounds like you, and you’re ready to guide Siete’s sourcing to bring our foods to grocery shelves near and far, we’d love to hear from you for our Procurement Manager position.

About You
  • You're known for your ability to prioritize and reorganize tasks as needed! Fast-paced environments are your thing. You. Are. Speed!
  • You operate with a “Juntos es Mejor” mentality at all times. Doing things together makes everything better!
  • When you’re in the room—whether you’re involved in a project or leading a team—everything seems to fall into place. You’re always there to help and reorganize to keep things on track.
  • Whether you’re leading a cross-functional meeting, presenting data, or simply writing an email, people describe your communication as “effective,” “mindful,” and “clear.”
  • With a passion for all things puzzles, riddles, and word games, you’ve got an eye for detail that’s unmatched. You’re a problem solver through and through!
  • You put the “cheer” in “cheerleader.” As in: You lead with enthusiasm, encouragement, and kindness. You’re motivating and inspiring—go, team, go!
What you will do
  • Lead execution of sourcing strategies across assigned Procurement vertical (Ingredients or Packaging), while maintaining ownership of select strategic categories, suppliers, and manufacturing partner relationships.
  • Oversee sourcing initiatives including RFPs, contract strategy, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and category roadmaps, providing guidance and support on the team's most complex sourcing activities.
  • Serve as an escalation point for manufacturing partners, supplier negotiations and supply constraints.
  • Translate market intelligence into cross-category sourcing strategies, business recommendations, and annual planning. Identify, assess, and mitigate supply risks across the network, including geopolitical events, capacity constraints, and single-source dependencies, while communicating risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead enterprise Procurement initiatives that extend beyond assigned category ownership to improve Procurement capabilities and cross-functional alignment.
  • Oversee Procurement contracting standards, templates, ensuring agreements remain aligned with business needs while guiding the team's contract development efforts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Finance, R&D, Quality, Commercialization, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Legal to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead Procurement performance reviews by synthesizing quarterly pricing activities and key procurement KPIs to drive actionable insights. Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and guidance on category ownership.
  • Drive consistency across Procurement by standardizing tools, reporting, contracting approaches, supplier governance, and best practices across categories and manufacturing partners.
  • Develop cross-category tools, dashboards, reporting, and planning resources that improve Procurement execution and decision-making.
  • Oversee Procurement's commercialization and material transition strategy by aligning artwork implementation, inventory runout, supplier readiness, and obsolescence planning across categories and manufacturing partners.
  • Design inventory management strategies when needed to address risk, service, or cost concerns across the network.
  • Travel requirements average 15% annually, depending on business priorities.
Your experience
  • 5+ years in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain within the CPG or food manufacturing sector required.
  • Experience managing direct material categories (ingredients and/or packaging) preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth CPG or food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and procurement platforms such as TraceGains or similar supplier management systems preferred.
