Job Title: Process Operator / Wastewater Technician

Location: Pendleton, IN

Schedule: Full-Time | Hourly

Friday - Sunday | 6:00am - 6:00pm
Overtime available

Compensation: $23-26/hour

Based in Pendleton, Indiana, our team helps food processors reduce waste while supporting sustainable agriculture. Every year, our work helps recover millions of tons of food byproducts and transform them into useful products for livestock producers.

What You'll Do: As a Process Operator / Wastewater Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining systems used to treat and process wastewater. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely while maintaining quality and environmental standards.


This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to monitor and respond to system performance.


Key responsibilities include:

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems, including filtration and processing equipment

Maintain and support operation of the Superfilter and related systems

Perform routine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues

Monitor system readings (pH levels, flow rates, etc.) and respond to changes or abnormalities

Track and record operational data accurately

Assist with cleaning and sanitation processes (CIP) of equipment

Support other production or plant operations as needed

Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required

Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor systems and identify issues

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow processes and respond to changing conditions

Comfortable working in a production or industrial environment


Preferred (but not required):

Experience with wastewater treatment or industrial processing equipment

Experience with pumps, valves, filtration systems, or similar equipment

Familiarity with PLC or HMI systems

Experience in manufacturing, processing, or plant operations
