Processing OperatorThe Process Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing and handling of raw materials and/or finished products at the plant. Safely operating equipment in the assigned area while maintaining a high degree of quality for our products and working as efficiently as possible for our continuous operation facilities.Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Operating mechanized equipment safely, efficiently, and within specificationsTroubleshooting, inspecting and fixing issues that arise with equipment as applicableIdentifying and recommending opportunities for improvementSampling and testing productsPreparing trucks; loading and unloading trucks and bags, as necessaryPacking, inspecting, and dumping bags, totes, sacks, or drumsFilling tanks or transferring products as necessaryPerforming tasks of varying physical demand such as moving hoses and cleaning equipmentMaintaining inventoryHandling movement of and working with chemicals as appropriateWork Environment:Ability to work in potentially loud and strong odorous environments, different physical environments, or in various weather conditionsMust be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to do the following: lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; pull, enter tanks, and wear a harnessRequired education and experience:High school diploma or GED requiredAdditional eligibility qualifications:Read, write, and speak EnglishWork in a team environment with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills to share information, data, and ideas with peers and leadersComputer literate and SAP experience a plusAble to develop and apply mechanical/problem-solving skills, preferredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety, a plusForklift experience, a plus or ability to get forklift certification, required We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
