Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Packaging Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Mentor, OH. This role is ideal for a manufacturing professional with 3-5 years of production, packaging, filling, or machine operation experience who enjoys hands-on work in a structured, team-oriented environment.
The Packaging Operator will operate filling and packaging equipment used to package bulk adhesives and sealants into cartridges and other containers, prepare finished goods for palletizing, and support accurate production documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Operate filling and packaging equipment according to production schedules, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
- Read and interpret process orders, verify materials and packaging components, record lot numbers, and complete production paperwork accurately.
- Apply labels, bar codes, and date codes at the unit, case, drum, or related packaging level according to work order instructions.
- Perform palletizing, housekeeping, cartridge reclaim, vat cleaning, and other production support duties as required.
- Complete minor equipment troubleshooting, operator maintenance, and routine checks to support uptime and product quality.
- Follow all safety, health, environmental, PPE, 5S, and continuous improvement practices while helping maintain a clean and efficient work area.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $40,000 to $47,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Mentor, OH.
- Available Shifts:
- 6:30am to 2:30pm.
- 2:30pm to 10:30pm.
- 10:30pm to 6:30am.
