Job description

Job Summary
Position: Packaging Operator II
Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)
Base Rate: $14.50/Hour
Operates an automatic machine to package a variety of products according to customer specifications.
Essential Job Functions *
  • Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
  • Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
  • Loads product into packaging machines, Monitors machines for proper function.
  • Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
  • Sets up/changes over equipment for corresponding orders
  • Performs basic equipment maintenance including inspections, cleaning, lubing as needed

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
