Our sales teams work closely with our engineers and field service techs to ensure our customers reach their packaging performance goals today – and tomorrow.

As a Packaging Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our company's overall success. Your mission: proactively generate leads, cultivate exceptional customer relationships, and promote our products and services to boost profitability in your region.  In this role, you will: 

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, cold outreach, networking, and industry events.
    • Conduct customer visits to explore growth potential and increase sales.
    • Assess customer needs and propose customized product solutions.
    • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Serve as the main point of contact for distributors and end users.
    • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
    • Assist with logistics, customs processes, order tracking, and delivery coordination.
    • Thoroughly document all customer details and sales progress in Salesforce CRM.
  • Technical Support
    • Guide customers in the design, installation, and setup of transverse jaws for packaging machines.
    • Troubleshoot sealing issues and recommend performance improvements.
    • Collaborate with the internal engineering team for product modifications and design approvals.
  • Internal Coordination & Administration
    • Communicate customer feedback to engineering and production to ensure timely deliveries.
    • Assist with administrative duties such as invoicing and documentation.
    • Coordinate with logistics to meet customer-specific shipping and delivery requirements.

Base Salary

$65,000-$100,000; commission potential $15,000-$50,000

  • Experience:
    • 2–5 years in technical support, maintenance, or roles related to packaging machinery (e.g., horizontal/vertical form-fill-seal machines, transverse jaws).
  • Technical Competence:
    • Solid understanding of packaging machine components and mechanical systems.
    • Ability to interpret and validate technical drawings; CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is an asset.
    • Ability to accurately measure and document mechanical components.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with sealing issues.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
    • Effective liaison between clients and internal departments.
    • Self-motivated and comfortable with frequent travel (50% +/-).
