Job Description

Position Overview

The Associate, Talent Development will develop, execute and facilitate training initiatives for employees at all levels. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning and development programs aligned to Invenergy's strategic goals and initiatives.


This role focuses on enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees to drive individual and organizational performance. The person in this role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and Human Resources team members to design and develop learning experiences, including instructor-led and eLearning courses, microlearning, and job aids, while managing logistics and ensuring a smooth learning experience for participants. Success in this role will be achieved through improving learning outcomes for Invenergy's current and future development and training programs.

This on-site position is located Invenergy's office in downtown Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Apply instructional systems design and adult learning principles to create content that supports Invenergy's organizational objectives.
  • Identify, design, develop engaging and impactful training and development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of various training methods, for individual contributors, people leaders and high potential employees.
  • Provide thought leadership and innovative ideas to enable a "learning culture" supported by Invenergy's core values and competencies.
  • Create content for and support the administration of Invenergy's Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Curate eLearning content from external content providers to support targeted skill development, ensuring alignment with organizational expectations, learning objectives, and employee development needs.
  • Provide current insights on talent and learning technologies, tools, and trends to enhance innovative program design and effectiveness, and employee engagement.
  • Manage external training vendors and resources as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational/Instructional Design, Training & Development, Education or other related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and learning development
  • Proven experience in corporate learning program management with the ability to build and execute programs effectively and efficiently and monitor and measure learning outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience working cross functionally and demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence across teams.
  • Strong prioritization skills to effectively navigate and contribute to multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training professional certification: Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).
  • Experience with Docebo learning management system (LMS).

Base Pay

$88,000.00 - $103,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
