Job description

Sr. Customer Development Analyst

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr. Customer Development Analyst to join our team at Kemps Home Office in St. Louis Park, MN. In this role, you will leverage category, shopper, and customer insights to develop compelling, data-driven selling stories and actionable recommendations that influence key customer decisions and drive business growth. As a trusted business partner to the sales teams and retail customers, you will create impactful presentations, lead business reviews, identify growth opportunities, and support execution of sales initiatives and new product launches. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with relationship-building skills, using data, market trends, and category expertise to deliver meaningful results and support our branded growth objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop internal and external relationships to act as a business partner with account managers and trusted advisors to key retailers.
  • Lead creation of retail sell sheets to aid in execution of sales initiatives and new item launches.
  • Create business reviews and monthly volume scorecards for key accounts utilizing internal data warehouses. Identify business growth opportunities and provide recommendations to sales leads.
  • Utilize category and shopper insights/trends to develop selling stories and customer presentations in support of growth objectives. Present at customer meetings with the sales lead.
  • Collaborate with team members, sales, marketing, and trade marketing to align on and execute annual growth objectives.
  • Lead development of space initiatives, including utilization of planogram software.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, sales and marketing, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
  • 5 to 8 years of sales or business analysis, market research, or related experience.
  • Experience working with syndicated market data sources such as Circana (IRI) or NielsenIQ is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, for a diverse range of internal and external audiences.
  • Experienced in building consensus with a variety of departments around key initiatives.
  • Work with the ability to provide quality deliverables on time.
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% annually.
