Job description

Card-Monroe Automation is seeking a Material Handler II to support daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and production operations. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and a safe, organized work environment.
The Material Handler II works with limited supervision and communicates with team members, production employees, and supervisors to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other approved equipment.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Report damaged materials, shortages, and other shipment discrepancies.
  • Store materials in designated locations according to established procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials for production, shipping, and internal distribution.
  • Complete inventory transactions using RF scanners, warehouse management systems, or other inventory-tracking tools.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging and labeling materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow OSHA requirements and all company safety procedures.
  • Communicate inventory, equipment, or process concerns to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of warehouse, manufacturing, shipping and receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification after hire.
  • Basic computer, data-entry, and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move materials weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties associated with a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
