Spinnaker, a Mactac Company, is hiring motivated individuals to join our team! We produce pressure-sensitive materials used in everyday items like labels, packaging, medical devices, displays, and more.

Location: Spinnaker, a Mactac Company - Troy, OH

Summary

Supports Coating, Finishing, and/or Shipping/Receiving Departments by operating sit-down and stand-up forklift trucks and pallet jacks to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products or materials by performing the following duties.

Pay: Starts at $21.42/hr + shift differential

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all Forklift Safety Practices while operating lift
  • Reading work orders to determine appropriate material required for delivery to machines
  • Operate forklift to deliver material and returns and log unused material to storage
  • Store and log completed material on racks in hanging stock area after it is manufactured by finishing or coating department
  • Scan all rolls for movement from location to location
  • Perform inventory transactions on computer system
  • Perform safety/maintenance check of forklift prior to first use each shift
  • Verify that material is not damaged prior to transporting to and from storage areas
  • Report damage to supervisor
  • Package cut finished rolls for shipment to customer or stock
  • Prepare packaging materials as needed for daily converting requirements; includes cores, boxes and pallets
  • Maintain an orderly, neat and safe work area
  • Removal of waste from production areas
  • Effectively and efficiently coordinate Receiving and Shipping of materials
  • Perform any other activity as required by Management

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Certified to operate sit-down, stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Manages time efficiently
  • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
  • Initiative to ask for and offer help when needed
  • Generate suggestions for improving work
  • Ability to use hand tools such as hammer, tin snips, crowbar, and utility knife safely
  • Physical demands include regularly required to sit, stand and walk
  • Frequently required to; Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. Must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Education and/or Experience

  • 1 year of manufacturing or distribution experience
  • Prior forklift driving certification required and ability to recertify upon hire

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
