Material Handler Description: he qualified Material Handler will preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent and is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through the safe and efficient movement of inventory throughout the facility. This role involves operating powered industrial equipment to replenish inventory, gather materials from storage locations, stage products for order fulfillment, and support shipping and receiving activities. A qualified candidate will also prepare materials for warehouse operations by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards:

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory safely throughout the warehouse.
  • Gather and transport materials from rack locations to designated staging areas for order fulfillment.
  • Replenish pick locations to ensure inventory is available to support customer orders.
  • Stage inventory for warehouse associates, shipping personnel, and production activities as needed.
  • Verify inventory locations and quantities to support inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed to support inbound and outbound operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and other inventory control activities as assigned.

Material Handler Requirements: The Material Handler should preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a valid driver's license. The Material Handler should preferably possess at least 1 year of experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment within a warehouse environment. This position requires standing continuously, lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted, and frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity. The Material Handler should possess the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, organize and prioritize job tasks, and work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Forklift certification is preferred or must be obtained upon hire. The ideal candidate must also possess the ability to work overtime as needed.
