Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
No Shift Work: First shift hours only
Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday with overtime as needed. Schedule can vary per department.

Job Summary
A Material Handler I manages the physical receipt, tallying, storage, and distribution of all materials (primarily raw materials and parts) throughout the facility. Use of industrial warehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, while loading, unloading and moving material is required. This position also sorts and maintains the flow of material, and verifies, through visual inspection, that the material is identified per the packing list. Daily equipment checks are also performed.
Essential Functions
Job Responsibilities
  • Unloading trucks by hand or with the use of manual or electric pallet jacks or heavy equipment.
  • Operate and safely drive powered industrial trucks including driving test completion.
  • Performs equipment safety checks.
  • Organizing and tallying received shipments.
  • Accurately recording and reporting inventory received, damages and discrepancies.
  • Accurately maintaining legible records and scanning for inventory.
  • Creating pick list to facilitate picking of inventory.
  • Picking and delivering parts from warehouse locations to production lines.
  • Read, comprehend and follow SOP instructions.
  • Ensuring and following safety requirements and standards.
  • Keeping the work area clean and orderly.
  • Performing all duties in a manner that follows, demonstrates, and promotes Ki Mobility's company values.
  • Reporting to work as scheduled, on time, and able to work entire work schedule.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
  • Ability to safely operate or become trained on warehouse equipment such as electric tuggers and order pickers.
  • Ability to safely operate hand equipment such as manual pallet jack.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory related tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and follow instructions.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Basic level skills using computer applications (email, enterprise software).
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing business needs.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to observe and identify details.
  • Ability to work extended hours as scheduled, including weekends.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent wrist manipulation, walking, and standing.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
  • Frequent lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Perform continuous active lifting for the majority of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity to move and lift product and packages.
  • Manual dexterity to type and operate office and warehouse equipment frequently.
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements to perform essential functions.
Qualifications
Experience
  • Required:
    1. Experience and proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Preferred:
    1. Experience working in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
    2. Prior experience safely operating warehouse equipment.
    3. Experience with receiving and inventory procedures.
    4. Kanban/Lean knowledge and experience.
    5. Hand scanner/computer system experience beneficial.
    6. Basic level experience with Microsoft Office programs (email) and other enterprise software.
Working Environment
  • Standard working conditions include a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Hot and cold outdoor temperature conditions while unloading trailers.
