The role requires good time management, customer service skills, and sometimes the ability to handle heavy items.

What is a package delivery job?

Package delivery jobs include working for one of the big parcel delivery companies, such as UPS or FedEx, working for smaller companies, or working as an independent contractor who does freelance delivery. Regardless of your employer, your general duties are similar. You transport and deliver shipments to businesses and homes and may also provide pickup services for customers. Most package delivery drivers use a car or truck, so you should be a good driver with strong time management and directional skills.

Package delivery drivers often encounter challenges such as navigating traffic, managing a high volume of deliveries within tight timeframes, and dealing with inclement weather.
