Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

This position is primarily responsible for safely, effectively, and timely completing projects in the Special Pack, Shipper, and/or Container areas. The Project/Special Pack/Container Associate assists the operations in effectively, efficiently, and safely assembling finished good shipper displays and/or kits, assembling variety packs, labeling or re-labeling product at the item, case or pallet levels, as may be required for retail partners, unloading floor loaded containers, and/or performing general warehouse housekeeping as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Daily assigned responsibilities will fluctuate given operational demands and volumes. This position requires the Project/Special Pack/Container Associate to physically report to work in order to effectuate the below responsibilities. Duties apply to activities at any and all Distribution 2000, Inc. locations, including 1165 W. Crossroads, 1200-1208 N. Schmidt Road, and/or 1186 Arbor Drive; travel between facilities may be required, depending on operational demands.

  • Follows all established safety and building procedures, including established GDPs.
  • Completes daily housekeeping checklist, as applicable.
  • Performs general cleaning duties of assigned department and warehouse generally.
  • Reports any product or equipment damage immediately to applicable Coordinator, Lead and/or Manager.
  • Assists with cleanup of any damaged product.
  • Organizes empty pallets by bad and good condition and puts them in their assigned areas.
  • Performs any or all of the following, per customerโ€™s and companyโ€™s established guidelines and directions:
    • Shipper Assembly
    • Variety Pack Projects
    • Reboxes/Repacks Projects
    • Special Labeling
    • ASIN/FBA (Amazon) Labeling
    • UCC128 Labeling
    • Foreign Language and Export Labeling Requirements
    • Unit Labeling (TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, etc.)
    • Container Unloading
    • General Warehouse Housekeeping
    • Sealing of trailers, as may be required from time to time
  • Provides assistance with any applicable small parcel and/or e-commerce operations, as applicable.
  • Provides assistance to receiving with regards to special projects, including:
    • Damages needing repacked

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

MATHMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
