Job description

Having recognized the advantages of remote work, including employee morale, productivity, reduced commuting on employee wellbeing and the environment, we are proud to be a digital-first company. The technologies and programs in which we invested have provided a fantastic foundation to this end. Our digital-first work environment, together with our conveniently located offices and collaborative workspaces, provide our team with the freedom and flexibility to work in the way that makes our employees most productive.

About us

Tecsys is a fast-growing innovator offering supply chain solutions to industry leading healthcare systems, hospitals, and pharmacy businesses to distributors, retailers, and 3PLs. We work with industry leaders to transform their supply chains through technology. If you thrive on tackling interesting challenges with continuous learning opportunities, then Tescys could be a good fit for you!

About the Role

Deploying enterprise software reliably at scale is a product problem, not just an engineering one. Someone has to decide what gets automated next, how upgrades reach hundreds of customer environments without downtime, and how authentication evolves as compliance frameworks tighten. As Technical Product Owner for Platform Delivery at Tecsys, that's your job. You'll translate platform strategy into a prioritized execution plan for deployment automation, identity infrastructure, and orchestration - breaking down broad goals into what the team actually builds, making the sequencing and tradeoff calls that determine whether releases land smoothly or don't. You'll work alongside a focused engineering team covering deployment automation, identity, and third-party platform components.

Responsibilities
  • Own and prioritize the backlog for platform automation, deployment, compliance, and scalability.
  • Translate business, security, and regulatory needs into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate product workflows (requirements drafting, analysis, documentation, backlog refinement), including running structured, spec-driven flows that bring AI assistance into collaborative SDLC practices across engineering, QA, and product.
  • Partner with engineering teams to:
    • Automate build, packaging, and deployment workflows
    • Reduce deployment cycle time and increase release confidence through CI/CD improvements
    • Introduce orchestration best practices for zero-downtime deployments
    • Remove manual processes and increase end-to-end automation
  • Ensure smooth upgrades across customer environments through deployment playbooks, chart versioning, and environment-specific sequencing.
  • Own the product lifecycle for third-party platform components (BI tooling, integration engines, etc.), including containerization, version upgrades, and configuration management.
  • Align deployment and automation initiatives with business goals while meeting compliance and certification requirements (FedRAMP, SOC2).
  • Track KPIs such as deployment speed, reliability, adoption, and developer experience.
  • Support architecture and security teams with design validation and risk assessments.
  • Document requirements, decisions, and solution overviews clearly.
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions to align scope, dependencies, and timelines.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 7+ yrs experience as a Product Owner/Manager in SaaS, enterprise software, or infrastructure platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with DevOps environments and tooling: Kubernetes/Helm, GitOps, AWS or Azure, Terraform or other IaC tools, Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.), CI/CD (e.g., GitLab-CI)
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) and stakeholder management ability, essential for working across teams and with partners beyond Quebec.
  • Ability to translate technical and regulatory needs into business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, FedRAMP, FIPS) or regulated deployment environments.

Nice to Have

  • Identity & Access Management (Keycloak, Cognito, Okta; OAuth2, OIDC, SAML)
  • Exposure to service mesh, serverless, or secrets management
  • Experience with observability, metrics, monitoring, and platform health

We understand that experience comes in many forms and that careers are not always linear. If you don't meet every requirement in this posting, we still encourage you to apply.

At Tecsys, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered. We believe that diversity drives innovation and strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional solutions. We welcome and encourage applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to join our team.

Tecsys is an equal opportunity employer. Accommodation is available for applicants selected for an interview.

NB: if you are applying to this position, you must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada,ย OR, have a valid Canadian work permit.

A Note on Our Hiring Process:ย We do not use AI to automatically screen or reject candidates. However, we do use specific screening questions to prioritize the most relevant applications for human review.
At Tecsys, we welcome the thoughtful use of AI tools to help you prepare your application, for example, to improve clarity, organize your resume, or practice interview responses. However, we ask that all information you provide reflects your real experience, and that any assessments or written submissions represent your own work and thinking.

During interviews, we expect candidates to engage without the use of AI tools, scripts, or real-time assistance. Authentic, direct conversation helps us get to know how you think, collaborate, and communicate. AI can support your preparation, but it shouldn't speak or act on your behalf. We genuinely want to meetย you.
