Job description

The Role


OWL Services is searching for highly motivated people interested in being taught a trade in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. Eventually working toward advancement within the company to become a foreman and managing a work crew.

Our Compliance Field Technicians perform a variety of services within but not limited to the gasoline service station Industry. These include but are not limited to precision underground tank and line tightness testing, leak detector testing, ATG certification, stage I & II vapor recovery testing, cathodic protection testing, secondary containment testing, and 3rd party facility operations inspections for gas stations. Technicians also perform containment sump repair services, gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning, and minor maintenance on these systems.

Responsibilities

To include but not limited to:

  • Prepping the site for testing
  • Setting up testing and safety equipment
  • Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access
  • Driving a DOT registered commercial motor vehicle

Qualifications

  • Must have a mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools, experience in trades, and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings a plus.
  • Can lift 10-50lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
  • Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate well.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, safety, and technical protocols a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of technology – tablet/phone/computer – for documentation.
  • Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.
