Job Description

Here's your chance to work in a fast-moving, innovative big data start-up, while collaborating with resources from diverse backgrounds and cultures. You will work directly with the Director of UI/UX Engineering, understand the product roadmap, feature requirements, and convert them into software design and UI code. You have a keen eye for detail, design, and user-experience. As an Agile scrum team member, you will be an individual contributor, completing stories and features by implementing test-driven front-end requirements from visual designs/wireframes and integrating them with RESTful backend services. You will coordinate with backend, QA, and support teams, refactor existing modules that may need improvements, perform peer code reviews, and publish best practices that can be utilized by other team members.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree, or a foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related science field
  • MUST have at least 4+ years experience in US-based firms as an advanced, web development software professional, specifically focused on front-end engineering
  • Solid understanding of MVC responsive design, with ability to write clean, concise, and maintainable code
  • Strong technical knowledge in current web development technologies including Javascript,  AngularJS, CSS3, and HTML5
  • Exposure to consuming data through RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of JSON & XML
  • Ability to define and write unit tests
  • Experience with Git optional
  • Experience with Jasmine, Karma, Backbone JS, Node.JS, D3.JS desirable
  • Quick learner and team player, with good logical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
