What is an overseas driver?

Overseas drivers are individuals who operate motor vehicles in a country other than their country of residence or citizenship. This term commonly refers to people who travel or relocate internationally and need to drive for work or personal reasons. Overseas drivers often need to meet specific legal requirements, such as obtaining an International Driving Permit (IDP) or converting their home country license to a local one. They may also need to understand local traffic laws and insurance requirements to drive legally and safely in the new country.

What are overseas driver jobs?

As an overseas driver, you transport goods or passengers while working in another country. Your job duties vary depending on the type of services that you offer. You typically drive a truck to pick-up, drop off, and transport cargo within a foreign country or across an international border. You may work for a trucking company, an organization, or as a contractor for the military. With the proper license, you can work abroad as a bus driver or a private driver who operates a car or limo service.
