Job description


  • Monitor activities of radiography contractor, review & interpret (if needed) radiographic film and/or ultrasonic testing results.
  • Verify that approval of radiographic film and/or ultrasonic testing is in accordance with specifications, codes, & standards.
  • Monitor radiation safety checks conducted by contractor.
  • Maintain daily log or diary of NDT activities.
  • Revew and accept Radiographs and NDE Records of NDE Contrcator and advise QA Coordinator on the status.

Requirements
Business Need:
  • Necessary to maintain quality relative to NDT used in facilities installation.
  • Safety relative to use of radiation producing sources.
  • Verify that NDT film is retained and stored as proof of acceptance for each weld.

Key Skills:
  • Extensive training and experience in radiography film interpretation and/or ultrasonic interpretation.
  • Previous certifications as Level II or Level III inspector.
  • Knowledge of standards for equipment, materials and construction methods.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years experience in RT interpretation and radiation safety.
  • Overseas pipeline experience is helpful.
  • Competent in PC skills relative to Microsoft Word.
