Job description

Visiting Angels:
Visiting Angels provides home care assistance to support older adults to which they can remain independent in their own homes with respect, dignity, and compassionate care that they deserve. We serve the Lincoln and surrounding areas.
Our Team:

Caregiver:
We're looking for a compassionate and empathetic Caregiver to join our team! This role is for awake overnight shifts. Previous caregiving experience is preferred and may include professional or personal experience caring for a family member or loved one. CNA, in-home care, companion care, or other related experience is a plus. We provide training to help our caregivers feel confident and prepared in their role. As a Caregiver, you can expect to:
  • Provide clients emotional and physical support
  • Ensure clients are engaged through conversation, games, and other activities
  • Assist with activities of daily living including:
    • Companionship and moral support
    • Coping with the routines of everyday life
    • Planning and preparing meals
    • Light housekeeping and laundry
    • Personal hygiene and grooming
    • Dressing and bathing assistance
    • Reminding to take medication
    • Assisting with exercise
    • Running errands
  • Report client changes and act quickly in emergency situations
  • Be reimbursed mileage for client transportation

Requirements:
  • 18 years or older
  • A current Driver's License
  • Personal reliable transportation and:
    • Willingness to transport clients in your personal reliable transportation. You will be reimbursed for mileage.
    • Current auto insurance and the ability to maintain auto insurance while employed at Visiting Angels.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Willingness to provide personal cares such as toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.
  • Compassionate, professional, and patient
  • Previous professional or personal caregiving experience preferred

Compensation:
  • $15.50 - $18.50 per hour. Compensation based on experience and/or CNA certification.

Schedule:
  • Overnight shifts options
    • 8 or 12 hour shifts
    • Weekday or weekend
  • Additional shift options available
