Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a growing client in the Raleigh-Durham, NC (RTP) area. The Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) role requires you to sit onsite 5 days per week. The Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) role is ideal for a security professional with extensive experience supporting classified environments and expertise in RMF, ICD 503, and cybersecurity compliance. Responsibilities of the Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) include: • Manage the security posture of classified information systems and ensure compliance with government security standards. • Facilitate authorization and accreditation activities in alignment with ICD 503 and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. • Assess vulnerabilities, review STIG findings, and drive remediation efforts to maintain system security. • Develop, update, and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including security plans and continuous monitoring artifacts. • Work closely with system administrators, network engineers, and leadership teams to address security risks and support operational readiness. Requirements of the Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) include: • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP). • 5+ years of Information System Security Officer (ISSO) experience supporting classified systems. • Hands-on experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and vulnerability management. • In-depth knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Strong understanding of system administration, networking technologies, and cybersecurity best practices. Compensation for the Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) include: • $130,000 - $170,000 annually • Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law. • This job opens for applications on 08/14/2026.
