What's in it for you:

This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will be commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. In order to perform your task you will utilize your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. This position affords you the opportunity to work with internal and external partners ranging from new facility set ups to existing facility retro fits. What you will do:

  • Responsible for the installation, commissioning, diagnosis, repair, and start-up of HVAC systems,utilizingknowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, air distribution,controlsand mechanical layouts.
  • Responsible for planning,analyzingandtimelycompletion of assigned projects and activities.
  • Usesa variety of hand tools, along with interpreting constructiondrawings, plans, and specifications,in order tomount, hang, fit, andinstall equipment and systems.
  • Ensurescompliance with internal contracting processes.
  • Performs site surveys, replacements,modificationsand start-upas needed or requested by customers.
  • Prepares for on-site installation by examining building layout,anticipatingdifficulties, gatheringmaterialsand coordinating on-site work, and coordinating with othertradesas necessary.
  • Maintains assigned companyequipment anddocumentsall related activities.
  • Provides training and follow-up training at customersite.
  • Provides sales leads toappropriate personnel.
  • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; andmaintainingfiles.
  • Turns in all required paperwork and reportsin a timely manner.
  • Provides technical support to customers on assigned projects.
  • Representsthe company by serving as the direct customer contact andis responsible forservicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction byidentifying, analyzing,diagnosingand repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
  • Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, completedrepairsand maintenanceservice.
  • Maintains tools and equipment byinspecting forsigns of wear.
  • Continually enforces safety to the highest standards andmaintainssecurity and accountability of company issued andprocuredassets by recording use,wearand conditions.
  • Regular travel requirements with occasional overnight stays.
  • Display team effort and dedication tocustomerbymaintainingflexibility to work overtime and weeks as the businessrequires, including occasional overnight stays.


What you will bring:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required, andpreferably2-5 years of experience inCommercial HVAC Installation.
  • Technical School or formal training ispreferred.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and workingproficiencywith handheldcomputer(i.e.Smartphone, iPad).
  • State Contractor Licensesa plus(e.g.HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer etc.).
  • Mustpossessa valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
  • DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, asrequired.
