Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex develops innovative medical devices used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. We focus strategically on coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular and bone access, and large-bore closure solutions.

Position Summary

The Sr. Clinical Sales Specialist is a clinical and technical expert in the field to drive safe, effective adoption of the Teleflex Peripheral Vascular portfolio. Working in close partnership with Sales Representatives and key physician stakeholders, the Sr. Clinical Sales Specialist provides procedural support, clinical training, and education across interventional suites, catheterization labs, and hybrid OR environments. This role has focus on the broader Peripheral Vascular portfolio including self-expanding stents, PTA balloon catheters, sheaths, and the Manta Large Bore Vascular Closure Device. The Sr. Clinical Sales Specialist is expected to build deep clinical relationships, develop champion accounts, and actively contribute to territory revenue goals. Territories are geographically broad and may cover large metropolitan areas with a multi-hour drive radius, or multi-state responsibilities depending on regional assignment. Travel requirements typically exceed 50%+, including overnight stays.

Principal Responsibilities


   Provide expert procedural clinical support and training for the Teleflex Peripheral Vascular portfolio including self-expanding stents, PTA balloon catheters, sheaths, and the Manta Large Bore Vascular Closure Device in compliance with IFU, clinical evidence, and regulatory standards
   Partner with Regional Sales Manager and Sales Representatives to identify clinical opportunities, develop account-specific adoption strategies, and achieve mutual territory sales objectives
   Deliver hands-on, case-based training to interventional staff; serve as a live procedural resource ensuring safe and effective device use
   Support and participate in physician proctorships, peer-to-peer education events, institutional in-services, regional symposia, and national medical conferences (e.g., VIVA, SIR, SVS)
   Gather field intelligence - including product performance feedback, competitive activity, emerging clinical trends, and customer needs - and relay insights to Sales Representative and Regional Sales Manager.
   Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Customer Service to ensure seamless account experiences and resolve product-related issues
   Maintain thorough knowledge of peripheral vascular anatomy, intervention techniques, and the broader competitive landscape
   Adhere to all Teleflex compliance, Code of Ethics, ADVAMED guidelines, and healthcare provider credentialing requirements (RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.)
   Complete required administrative responsibilities including case logs, call reports, expense reporting, and territory planning documentation in a timely manner

Education / Experience Requirements


   3-5+ years of experience in interventional radiology, vascular surgery, cardiovascular/cath lab, OR, or critical care/vascular access settings
   2+ years in medical device industry
   Bachelor's degree preferred, clinical background (RN, RT, CVT, PA, or equivalent) strongly required

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements


   Demonstrated track record of supporting complex interventional procedures
   Experience with Vascular Closure Device highly preferred
   Deep clinical acumen in peripheral vascular and/or structural heart procedures; ability to rapidly build credibility with interventionalists and endovascular surgeons
   Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills - ability to translate complex clinical information for diverse audiences
   Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple accounts and priorities across a large geography
   Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and mobile/tablet technology used in clinical environments
   Be able to lift and carry 30 pounds 
   Ability to stand and walk throughout large hospitals 6 - 10 hours per day
   Must be able to establish and maintain active vendor credentials (e.g., RepTrax, Vendormate) as required to enter hospitals and medical facilities, this is an essential function of the role. Must also be able to work in sterile clinical environments and comply with all hospital safety and dress code requirements, including lead apron use in fluoroscopy-active rooms where applicable.
