Job Summary:


The Task Force Stewarding Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the stewarding department during temporary assignments at resort and hotel properties across the United States. This position is 100% travel-based, with rotations lasting 12 to 16 weeks. The Stewarding Supervisor ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and operational efficiency while leading the stewarding team and supporting kitchen and banquet operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay up to $19.00 per hour, plus overtime opportunities
  • All travel expenses paid
  • 12-16 week travel assignments at premier resort locations
  • Employee housing provided (shared accommodations)
  • Rent is $112 per week, conveniently payroll deducted
  • One complimentary meal provided for each shift worked

Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and train steward staff to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen tools, equipment, and dining areas
  • Ensure all dishwashing and cleaning operations adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment and communicate needs to the Head Chef
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, ensuring that all surfaces and equipment are sanitized and ready for use
  • Handle scheduling and coordination of steward shifts to ensure proper coverage during audit operations
  • Perform regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas to ensure high cleanliness standards are met at all times
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to support food preparation and ensure a clean, efficient work environment
  • Manage the safe disposal of trash, waste, and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to cleaning equipment, materials, or staff performance, and escalate when necessary

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen maintenance, with at least one year in a supervisory role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and cleaning protocols
  • Ability to manage, train, and motivate a team of stewards effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and dining staff
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and handling equipment and materials (with or without accommodations)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities based on audit needs
