Your Vital Contributions
  • Performing holistic patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues collaboratively with other healthcare professionals or independently based on your qualifications
  • Guiding patients and their families on preventive health measures, wellness practices, and managing chronic diseases
  • Prescribing suitable medications and therapies, adhering to the legal scope of practice
  • Participating in ongoing patient monitoring and chronic illness management
  • Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Meticulously documenting medical decisions and patient progress in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Advocacy
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
Certification Requirements
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license valid in Illinois
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty credential
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
