Job Description
Looking for an experienced Scientist / Chemist / Chemical Engineer for a contract position that will involve 25% overnight travel.This is an urgent need, and will not be open long.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with at least 12 yearsof relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience,or a PhD.
  • Data collection/analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience in science and technology usedin explosive trace detection.
  • Analytical instrument maintenance and operation.
  • Knowledge and experience in planning, design, andconduct of explosive and explosive technology applied research andtesting.
  • Knowledge and experience in instrumentation and dataacquisition for explosive and explosive technology applied research andtesting.
  • Knowledge and experience in data capture and dataanalysis associated with applied research efforts and test & evaluation.
  • Experience with performing laboratory instrumentmaintenance and quality control checks of test article materials.
  • Sole US Citizenship with eligibility and willingness toobtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and to obtain DHSSuitability.
  • May require travel up to 25%.

The following are desired but not required to be considered:
  • Excellent record of productive and creative research asdemonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Prior experience working for TSA or DHS
  • DoDSecret security clearance
