RESPONSIBILITIES:
Disassemble and assemble pumps and motors.
Use test equipment including but not limited to surge testers, meggers, multi meters, high pot testers.
Understand, perform and retain various skill-related training and operational and safety procedures.
Pump and motor repair, cleaning, removal, installation, dry ice cleaning, rewinding, testing and new equipment installations.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. All work will be done with experienced personnel for on-the-job training until necessary experience is obtained to work alone.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Assist other shop departments/shops with skilled or non-skilled duties as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Interact with customers on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good mechanical attitude.
- Willing to travel up to 5 days a week and overnight as needed.
- Knowledge and use of hand and power tools
- Electromechanical experience a plus.
- Rigging and machinery moving experience helpful.
- Millwright's experience preferred.
- Provide own hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work as a team to get the job done.
- Observe all safety procedures, use proper PPE as needed.
- Fluent in English (vocal, reading, writing).
- Willing to work overtime as required by job.
- Drive a forklift or follow training to obtain a forklift license.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Customer sites varying from 1000' Iron Ore Ships, Paper mills, Hydro Generating Stations, Coal Fired Power Plants, Clean Water and Wastewater Departments, various manufacturing facilities in the WI, MN, MI IL areas, inside and outside work year-round.
- Extended periods of standing, bending, walking and stairs.
